How To Be Happy RIGHT NOW

Why do you read this article today? In order to get something? Something that might make you happier long term or short term? Do you read it because it might give you some advice that will help you to be happier with you and your life? Do you read it because of the feeling it gives you? A feeling that will make you happier?

THIS is just words on a website. Not even real words. Points on a screen. It’s not the way to happiness. It’s not the way to success. THIS is not the solution.

The solution lies in you. RIGHT NOW. It’s there and you’re ignoring it. It wants to be seen but you rather direct your attention to words on a screen. Why? Searching for the solution of a problem that has never existed. In fact, while searching for a problem, while believing you’ve got a problem, you are CREATING a problem right now.

Today I won’t pretend I have the solution for a problem you don’t have. Today I won’t pretend you’ll be happier after reading this. How about you also stop pretending right now?

Stop reading, stop searching for the solution. You are fixed. You’re already in a state of happiness. NOW. See it. How does it feel like?

  1. Dale Freye says:

If you feel bad for more than about 2 weeks you should have talked to a friend about it already so do that. If it is something you can not talk to someone about then see a therapist who believes in self help and will guide you in working out your problem for yourself. You need to know the difference between shame and guilt and between sadness and depression. If you end up having depression you can get a copy of “listening to depression” which will help you use your depression as a guide to fixing things in your life by knowing yourself better. If you goofed up and hurt someone and feel bad about it, just stop in to a AA meeting place and borrow a copy of the 12 step booklets. They will show you how to make amends. Also ask any 12 step person what they mean by the power of “now” while you are there.(good stuff) If you want to know more about working with your emotions, get “Rapid Relief from Emotional Distress” by Gary Emery ISBN 0-449-90249-8 .
